Paddle Using Characters

Here is a paddle I made for my pledge son Gambit from Tau Phi Sigma Multi Cultural Fraternity, Inc.

First paddle I physically drew and painted an image on. I took the character Gambit from X-Men to symbolize his namee.

If you do not have any artistic ability you can always print out a picture and use transfer paper to imprint the picture on the paddle. Otherwise you can take it back to elementary school days where you shade the back of a picture with a pencil until its pretty much covered and then trace the picture so that it transfer on to the paddle or medium. (I drew the picture then did the old school shade the back and transfered the pic!!)

And to paint.. you either know how or you don't... LOL!

L Phi E

Here is a paddle that I made a friend who is in Lambda Phi Epsilon Fraternity, Inc. It uses their colors of Navy and White. It was my first time trying to incorporate a crest. What I did was print out their crest on to card stock and glued it onto the paddle. For the design I just used straight clean lines. To ensure that the crest would stay on, I sprayed mulitple layers of clear coat. I was very pleased with the results.

NUPE Paddle

This is a paddle I made for a friend who is a member of Kappa Alpha Psi. This is special because I was given permission to use their more elite letters of Phi Nu Pi. The colors are more sharp in person. Bright white and primary color red with a lacquer over. It did have red Kappa Alpha Psi in small letters on the Phi Nu Pi but they have come off. (Should have glued them on along with the sticky that they come with.) Kitty

1906 Gift

This is a paddle I made for my BG who is a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc. I spray painted it gold (non glossy or it will crack when you lacquer it). The crest I bought with the letters. Painted all to match and lacquered the paddle. Kitty

Non Greek BFF

This a 22" slim paddle. It was a gift from a non Sorority, real Greek friend! She did a great job on taping off the stripes on top and bottom. The lines are great and she put lacquer on the from and the back. Basic lines but different design! Kitty

Thunder Kitty

This is a great paddle made for me from my Big Brother. It was spray painted navy blue and silver so that it looks like the colors fade into one another. The letters were then painted to coordinate with the paddle and still stand out. Kitty

Navy Blue and Silver Family

This is a blurry picture but this is the first paddle I made. It was for my Big Brother. He is a member of Tau Phi Sigma Multicultural Fraternity, Inc. He was in a line of 3. (3 stars & 3 stripes) Basic design, stripes were taped off, letters and paddles were painted with acrylic paint. Clean lines though! Kitty
